Hello!
Welcome to The Simple Elements! If you’re joining me from my old blog, The 20 Something’s Guide to Eating and Entertaining, welcome! You may find, however, that things have changed a bit around here. Since changing my blog to The Simple Elements, I’ve gotten engaged, married, bought a house, had a baby, turned 30 (hence the no longer being able to be the 20 something…) bought a second house and had a second baby! All of these life events are reflected in the posts you will read today. Here you will find recipes that are easy and delicious, things I love and things I don’t, baby food recipes and little tidbits about my new life as a stay at home mama to my darling Marielle and sweet son Alexander!
A little about me.
I love wine, cheese and Nutella. I believe white wine pairs fabulously with mac and cheese. I hate working out but love running around with my littles. Fun fact: I decided to give the whole real running thing a try, and as I passed by our house my husband told me I looked absolutely miserable…which solidified my initial belief that I hate running and working out in general. I do however, love a good yoga class and impromptu dance session in the kitchen with my two year old. I hate my hair. I believe food should be enjoyed, especially with good friends or my handsome hubby. I believe motherhood is one of the toughest jobs out there, whether stay at home or working full time. I believe everything is solved by Oreo Cookie ice cream from Sebastian Joes. I believe mornings don’t begin until AFTER the coffee is consumed. I’m never without a giant cup of coffee in my hand. I believe life is better with carbs. Maybe because I’m Italian? But most of all, I believe life should be lived the way you want to live it, as long as you’re happy!
Thanks for taking the time to visit! I hope you enjoy.
